I read a really interesting article on Yahoo yesterday. It was all about good sugar versus bad sugar. I've read a lot of different articles on this topic and the consensus seems to be artifical sweeteners are not good for you as they cause you to crave more sugar and reasearch suggests possible links to cancer. Splenda has something that our bodies cannot digest which is produced as waste...this indigestible chemical is more commonly known as chlorine! This sugar was discovered as researchers were trying to find a different chemical make-up for a PESTICIDE (Steviacafe.net)! Can you believe that? I've even read some negative articles on natural sugar taken from plants ie. Stevia and Truvia. But, I've also read some more recent articles on the pros to these natural sugars being safer for our bodies than artifical sweeteners or Splenda. This sugar at least comes from a plant and has a similar make-up to the natural sugar we find in fruits. Until I read more I'm going to stick with Stevia and Truvia in my coffee. What do you feel most comforatble using?
